This past month Mafia Wars reached 10 million fans on our Facebook Fan Page, an amazing feat we couldn’t have accomplished without all of you. To show you our appreciation, we have developed something special for our fans on Facebook; on March 30th 12:01 pm Pacific Time - 31st 11:50 pm Pacific Time we will be rolling out some limited time celebration features.
For 48 hours, all Facebook users will be given the following appreciation gifts:
* Double Mastery in all Cities--New York, Cuba, Moscow and Bangkok! Your mastery bar will move toward 100% at double the speed!
* All fights produce 25% more experience.
* Everyone that plays during this event will receive a Limited Edition item, the “Heavy Hand.”
* Stats will be released closer to the event dates!
If you haven’t joined us on our Fan page make sure to do that now, so you can get the latest news & announcements, discuss with fellow fans, or rate the game! Also we’ll be announcing the start of the event from there so make sure you and your friends become fans today…

There is now a faster way to allocate your skill points. You can still assign points 1 at a time, or you can use the +5 button to put 5 into one category.
To see the new screen, go to your Profile. You'll now see +1 and +5 buttons next to each skill category.
Select +1 to assign points the same way you always have. Or, save time by selecting +5 to put all points into one category.
Strategy Tip: Consider rotating your points each time you level. Use +5 to put all to attack on your next level, +5 to put all to defense on the following level, and so on.

We’ve given the Godfather page a makeover with the introduction of the Marketplace! Our goal was create a page with a fresh new look; something that’s easy to navigate and that’ll contribute to your game play.
With the new Marketplace, you’ll never miss out on another Limited Edition item on sale. We’ll have easy-to-find hourly sales specials, and you’ll be able to find the coolest loot from the categorized pull-down menus. Get the scoop on what the most coveted items in the game are by checking out the ‘Best Sellers’ and ‘Hot and New’ categories.
There’ll be no more stress for you about how to spend your Reward Points. Now you’ll have items recommended especially for you based on previous purchases and your personal style of game play. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Mafia Wars is getting ready to lavish you with cool new game updates for our Valentine’s Day Event starting Monday, February 8th. First off is a new featured job – the Valentine’s Day Massacre. This featured job will be played similarly to NYE featured job – it’ll be broken up into three special jobs for you to choose from that each have timers, and you’ll be awarded with unique Valentine’s Day bonuses for each stage you complete. Finish the featured job for a cool mastery item! Because we want everyone to feel the love and get the mastery item from the event, we’ll be offering some extra help. You’ll be able to use Reward Points to speed up the job timers, and will also have the option to ask for help from your mafia.

We have more cool updates coming your way on Mafia Wars! This time we're revamping the New York properties. We'll be introducing some changes to promote the return of robbing, so read on and check out the upgrades we're planning on making... 1) We'll have properties switched to Flash mode, so make sure you have the latest version (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/).
2) We'll be getting rid of 'undeveloped space'. The costs of undeveloped space will be folded into the costs of the updated properties. If you currently have any undeveloped properties, it’ll be sold off and you'll have your money returned to you.
3) Instead of owning 30 Mega Casinos, you will have 1 Mega Casino, but it will have been upgraded 30
times.
